The Academy Awards has voted only one movie with an X rating as Best Picture of the year. Coincidentally, the movie that won the year before was the last movie with a rating of G to win Best Picture.
One of the movies includes a murder where a person is beaten to death, a police shooting where the murderer is killed and almost hanged when he falls off a wall while trying to escape, a kidnapping, a child being sold into, basically, slavery, a child being held for a short time in a coffin, a gang of juvenile delinquent thieves, a man who cares for the gang as long as they keep stealing for him, and this is the G rated movie. Oh, and it is a musical, too.
One of the actors in the X rated movie (which has now been reclassified as rated R, due to the stigma of the X rating) has starred in at least eight movies nominated for Best Picture (three of which won Best Picture).
Can you name the two movies?
Bonus Question: Can you name actor and the seven other movies that he was in that were nominated for or won the Best Picture Oscar?

A special Thank You to Annie, for telling me about the movies I missed (I missed three of the nominated movies the actor was in. I had five, but he was in eight, so I fixed the post.)
Oliver and Last Tango in Paris
Marlon Brando starred in Last Tango in Paris.
Streetcar Named Desire
On the Waterfront
The Godfather
Julius Caesar
Mutiny on the Bounty
Apocalypse Now
Sayonara
just a guess.

Well, you did get Oliver! Dicken's tale of orphan Oliver Twist set to music, and rated G, but Last Tango In Paris isn't right, and thus Brando isn't right either. Last Tango In Paris was originally rated X, but was not nominated for Best Picture. All the other movies you mention were nominated for Best Picture and On the Waterfront and The Godfather did win best picture. Good try though.
crap
ok, ok.
Midnight Cowboy
Dustin Hoffman
The Graduate
Lenny
All the President's Men
Kramer vs. Kramer
Tootsie

Good Show Anonymous Ken!
By the way, Annie, did answer correctly, she just chose not to post it.
It's just now Tuesday in Italy and the answer has already been given? Oh well, I wouldn't have gotten it anyway. :o) Way to go Anonymous Ken, and Annie.
