During filming of Planet of the Apes (2001) Michael Clarke Duncan sprained his ankle during filming and was forced to go to the hospital in his full gorilla makeup.

on a side note, Madagascar had a pretty funny spoof of planet of the apes....I doubt 95% of the audience even got it, but it was still pretty funny.
What was that Mick. I guess we were part of the 95%.
It's be pretty wild to see a gorilla walking into the hospital. And one as big as Michael Clark Duncan. Isn't he a really big man? Or did they just make him out to be that way in The Green Mile?.
"Forced" to go to the hospital with an ankle sprain? That's pretty lame.
Michael is 6-5 and it guess he would have to be pretty lame to be forced to go to the hospital. That would be an episode of ER I would like to see.
