DVD Review: A movie about those who appreciate the finest things in life... For free!

The Movie: "Well, you don't expect me to steal something that isn't already mine?" pretty much sums up this enchanting movie about a fake sculpture, the Cellini Venus, and a girl's efforts to get it back before the forgery is discovered. The Cellini Venus belongs to the Bonnet Collection and has been loaned to a Paris museum. Nicole Bonnet (Audrey Hepburn) wants to steal it back before it is discovered to be a fake sculpted by her grandfather. She enlists the help of thief/private investigator Simon Dermott (Peter O'Toole). Hilarity Ensues.

The DVD: The DVD is a very simple DVD and includes a commentary track with Eli Wallach and Catherine Wyler, daughter of Director William Wyler. It also includes a very good Biography Channel biography of the incomparable Audrey Hepburn.

The Experience: I first saw this on TV. It is an enchanting movie that is funny and entertaining.

The Aftermath: This was the first role for Audrey Hepburn following the success of My Fair Lady. She is at her charming best. A young Peter O'Toole pays the Private Investigator mistaken as a thief and plays along because of the beauty of Nicole Bonnet. A fun movie to watch.

The Score: 7 out of 10 Forgeries, what do you think?
