Seeing how I can't stand Woody Allen, I'm not going to be very good at answering this question. Plus, the only movies I can think of that he did is Annie Hall and Husbands and Wifes but I know he's got tons of movies out there that he has written and directed. Gonna have to pass on this trivia.
I can't think of any Woody Allen films either. I have no clue...think were going to need a hint.

That didn't help. I havn't heard of 95% of them.
Okay I will narrow it to the last ten years 1995-2005. And remember he was nominated, he didn't win, Kevin Spacey won. other nominees were Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe and Richard Farnsworth and of course, our mystery man.

Ok, I think I got it since you let us look at the movies. I didn't realize that Woody Allen did so many non-discript movies. I'm going through the list and looking at all the actors names thinking, none of these guys were ever nominated for anything. The closest one I can think of that would be nominated for anything is Sean Penn in the 1999 film Woody directed Sweet and Low Down
Now there's a lot of strong actresses listed in his movies. I also had to decide whether you meant he wrote the movie, he acted in the movie or he directed the movie. I still don't like him.
So Sean Penn is my guess since he is the biggest name I've seen in the movies listed for the past 10 years.

"Respect My Authoritay" It's funny in an adult sort of way, I wouldn't recommend it to youngsters. They get away with a lot of stuff
