7 p.m. - Rita is coming

The resident aunt has announced that she felt a few drops a little over a hour ago. And so it starts...kinda. It is still not raining but it is cloudy. Rita now looks like it is headed for Lake Charles, Louisiana, like Dad said yesterday morning. And what we get from it may be a glancing blow as it passes to the east. That doesn't mean we are out of the woods yet. If it turns a little left we could still get hurricane force winds.

Hummingbird update: Like evacuees yesterday at the gas pumps, the hummingbird are lining up to get to the feeder getting their last minute fill-ups.

Quilting Update: Mom is putting some of the 368 inches of vine on the quilt.
