Okay, this one is a little harder then usual.
In the 77 years of the Academy Awards (1927-2004) how many movies have been nominated for Best Picture (or the equivalent)?

I thought at first five a year, 385 but then thought that maybe there weren't five nominated every year so I'm going to go a little lower and say 350. Man, that's a lot of movies.
That's a lot of movies, but you are low...with both numbers.
Hurricane Rita kind of took over so my trivia question became less exciting. Oh well, the answer is 445 movies. In 1944, they started the 5 per year thing that they do now, before that, they had as few as 3 (1927) and as many as 12 (1934, 1935) but most were ten (one year they had 8). As my beautiful sister said, "Man, that's a lot of movies."
