Dr. Seuss’s wonderful tale of a grumpy green Grinch who hated Christmas was made into a TV special in 1966 by famed animator Chuck Jones. This special has become synonymous with Christmas. Just think about it, you are just as likely to call someone that is grumpy around Christmas a Grinch as much as a Scrooge. Since this is a pretty well known show I am going to ask a series of questions. Most are fill in the blank. When you answer, please provide the corresponding letter.
A. All the Whos down in Whoville liked Christmas a lot, but the Grinch, who lived just north of Whoville, did not. The Grinch hated Christmas - the whole Christmas season. Oh, please don't ask why, no one quite knows the reason. It could be, perhaps, that his shoes were too tight. Or maybe his head wasn't screwed on just right. But I think that the best reason of all may have been that his heart was ____________________________.
B. Cindy Lou Who: Santie Claus, why are you taking our Christmas tree, why?
Narrator: But do you know, the Grinch was so smart and so slick, that he thought up a lie and he thought it up quick.
Grinch: Why my sweet little tot,
Narrator: - -the fake Santie Claus lied -...
Grinch: ...there's a light on this tree that won't ______________. So I'm taking it home to my work shop, my dear. I'll fix it up there, then I'll bring it back here.
C. Then he slunk to the icebox. He took the Whos' feast!
He took the Who-pudding! He took the roast beast!
He cleaned out that icebox as quick as a flash.
Why, that Grinch even took their last can of _________!
D. And what happened then...? Well...in Whoville they say,
that the Grinch's small heart, ____________ that day!
And the minute his heart didn't feel quite so tight…
E. ...He whizzed with his load through the bright morning light
And he brought back the toys! And the food for the feast!
And he...
_________________________________________.
F. Who was the Narrator?
G. Thurl Ravencroft sang the songs, like “You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch.” What was he better known for?
H. He puzzled and puzzled till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before! Maybe Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas... perhaps... ___________________!
Good luck, and may everyone have a Merry Christmas!
Welcome, Foolish Mortals!

Okay, Great answers one and all, especially Eric's answer about the light shocking the cat.
But correct answers...
Kim got B. There's a light in this tree that won't light on one side.
Both Kim and Eric got C. (the easy one) Why, that Grinch even took their last can of Who-Hash
And then...bupkis...until the last one. Which is not exactly right but they were close enough so I will give it to them.
H. Maybe Christmas...perhaps...means a little bit more.
Which leaves A, D, E, F, and G.
