Bess Flowers, chances are, you have never heard of her, but if you saw a movie that was made before 1964, you have probably seen her.
Known as the "Queen of the Hollywood Extras," Bess Flowers is by most accounts the most prolific actress ever. In 1923, she appeared in Hollywood, 41 years and and 692 movies later she appeared in Good Neighbor Sam, her last movie. Yep, I said 692 movies.
Of those, 23 were nominated for a Best Picture Oscar, more then an other actress can claim. In the vast majority of her movie appearances she was uncredited.

That's a lot of movies. I went to imdb to see if there was a picture of her and started scrolling down the movies. It kept going and going and going. No picture though, bummer.

Bess Flowers
I saw the thread (that I think you started) about her on filmwise.
By the way, what the heck happened to twofifty.org? I've seen the top ten now and I don't get the satisfaction of crossing them out...oh, well I guess I could print it out and cross them off by hand.
Oh wait...it's back up and running. Never mind.
