Sunday Night Trivia: Who Played Who?

For tonight's quiz match the character with the actress who played her, and the movie the character was in.

A. Alice Hyatt1. Audrey Hepburn
B. Miss Jean Brodie 2. Katharine Hepburn
C. Edna Spalding3. Susan Sarandon
D. Sally Bowles4. Shirley MacLaine
E. Sister Helen Prejean 5. Helen Hunt
F. Aurora Greenway6. Maggie Smith
G. Princess Anne7. Faye Dunaway
H. Ethel Thayer8. Ellen Burstyn
I. Diana Christensen9. Sally Fields
J. Carol Connelly10. Liza Minnelli

And as a bonus, what do these characters or actresses have in common?

(I figure you will probably need help on this one so you can look it up, but first look them over and see if you recognise any of them from memory, then look up the ones you didn't know. Let me know if you knew any of them from memory! Bonus points MAY be given. Just remeber, all questions are throughly researched by me, as long as it doesn't take more then 3 minutes, and the points don't count.)

A - Alice Hyatt - Ellen Burstyn in Alice doesn't live here anymore.

B - Miss Jean Brodie - Maggie Smith in the Prime of Miss Jean Brodie.

C - Edna Spalding - Sally Fields - Places in the Heart

D - Sally Bowles - Liza Minelli - Cabaret

e - Sister Helen Prejean - Susan Sarandon - Dead Man Walking

f - Aurora Greenway - Shirley Mcclaine - Terms of Endearment

g - Princess Anne - Audrey Hepburn - Roman Holiday

h - Ethel Thayler - Katherine Hepburn - On Golden Pond

i - Diana Christenson - Faye Dunnaway - Network

j - Carol Connelly - Helen Hunt - As Good as it gets.

The link I think is that they all won Oscars for the roles in which they played.

I know Helen Hunt won it for as good as it gets, faye Dunaway won for Network, and Maggie smith for The prime of....

So I assume the others were Oscar winners too.

I knew the Maggie smith one, and Helen Hunt, I also knew the Cabaret one, so not too bad really. The princess Anne one was a bit of a chore, as the sites I have spell it Ann!

You are spot on, Impman. All 10 actresses won Best Actress Oscar for these roles.

Sorry about the Princess Anne problem, I took it off the Academy Awards Database.

Three Million Bonus Points for matching Maggie Smith, Helen Hunt, and Liza without help. (I know they don't count and I am not afraid to use them!)

I guess this is what I get for not checking your Sunday Night trivia until Tuesday morning. I didn't recognize any of them since I'm horrible at names of characters (as you saw when you did your Disney grid trivia)
