Class Of Nuke 'Em High (1986)

When Warren and Chrissy notice some strange things happening around their high school, they begin to suspect that something is going on at the nuclear plant next door. Members of the Honors Club suddenly turn into a biker gang and drive their bikes through the school hallways. The local marijuana packs a major kick, called an Atomic High. Men in radiation suits walk around the school with geiger counters. Though the plant officials deny that there are any problems, Crissy gives birth to a bloodthirsty mutant who immediately begins eating everyone in the school. Will Warren and Chrissy be able to stop their killer kid? Hilarity ensued and then mutated.

Trivia: Troma films are known for their shocking imagery; some would categorize them as "shock exploitation films". They typically contain overt sexuality, graphic violence, gore and nudity, so much that the term Troma Film has become synonymous with these characteristics. Troma's slogan is Movies of the Future. Many Troma films are intentionally produced in the Brechtian form which is vastly different to mainstream horror movies. Troma is also known for reusing the same props, actors, and scenes over and over again, sometimes to save money. At a certain point, however, this became another hallmark of Troma. Examples include a severed leg, the Penis Monster, and the flipping/exploding car filmed for the movie Sgt. Kabukiman, NYPD, which, though blue, is used in place of any other car that needs to crash and explode. Troma has brought to you films such as The Toxic Avenger, Cannibal! The Musical, Terror Firmer, Redneck Zombies, and Surf Nazis Must Die.

You know you are in for trouble when everybody at the nuclear power plant wears protective clothing, even while walking around the outside of the planet. Troma is known for trying to gross out their audience, and they are very good at it. This movie had plenty of gross out moments. What suprised me was that it was a funny type of gross out. It is very obvious that they don't take themselves seriously, and that is to their benefit. Where else could you see a scene where workers from the nuclear plant suddenly clutch their throat and colapse and their co-workers just step over the bodies. To me it seems that they make movies for the fun of making movies. It was great. This is the second movie that Impman won from guessing my "C" movie. There you go Impman, we are all squared away. Thanks. Remember, correctly guess the next movie in my Alphabet Project and you too could pick two movies for me to watch and comment on. Oh yeah, and one more thing, if you come across a barrel full of a green sludge that smells bad and has smoke coming from it, do not stick your arm in it.

It was the poor acting in the film that made it laughable for me. Along with what you describe as the gross out funny bits!

Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for the review
