Sunday Night Trivia: Dr. Who?

Who is the man on the right in the picture? Why am I asking? (What is his claim to fame...remember my theme this month). You can click on the picture for a better view.

Bonus Question: What film is this picture from, and who is the other man?

The man on the right is Spencer Tracy and he's playing the character(s) Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde. I don't know what you mean by his claim to fame, but he was a very good actor and starred in a ton of films, winning a few oscars while he was at it. Ummm, you're asking who he is because you're about to review the movie? I have no clue who the other man is.

Has he got something to do with been born or dying on haloween??

Well, no and no.

I figured it was going to be a hard question.

The movie is from 1931. He is not a major star. My theme is movies that include monsters and halloween-ish. His claim to fame concerns three movies that he was in for Univeral pictures, and I have already reviewed all three movies.

Is it Bela Lagosi, and his claim to fame is that he has played all the main monsters in films, ie

Dracula, Frankenstien, and a werewolf?

You are close, in the general area. Since this is such a random question I will give you some leeway. You have answered the question partly. The picture is from Frankenstein, but it isn't Bela Lugosi, and the claim to fame that I am looking for does involve the movies Dracula and Frankenstien and one other classic Universal movie that you didn't mention.

The title is a clue (Dr. Who?)

Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde?

But I can't tell you who it is. The only thought I have is Edward von Sloane.

Is the claim to fame is that he is the only actor to play both the monster and the hero... Van Helsing must be part to do with it.

Edward Van Sloan is the actor. He played Prof. Van Helsing in Dracula and Dr. Waldman in Frankenstein and Dr. _____ in ______ (Think recent post/Universal classic monsters)

Edward Van Sloan was in three of Universal's greatest horror classics, Dracula, Frankenstein, and The Mummy, (he played Dr. Muller in The Mummy)

The picture is from Frankenstein and has Van Sloan and Colin Clive as Dr. Henry Frankenstein.

Nice quiz Will thanks, took a lot of searching to get the actor though!

Man, was I way off. I was looking at the man with the blondish hair. Oh, woe is me.
