My Super Ex-Girlfriend (2006)

Matt Saunders (Luke Wilson) thought his luck had just changed when he start dating Jenny Johnson (Uma Thurman). But what he doesn't know is he is really going out with New York superhero G-Girl. Hilarity ensues when he breaks it off with her for his work partner Hannah (Anna Faris) and Jenny becomes the psychotic scorned ex-girlfriend.

Trivia: Uma Thurman was named after the goddess of light and beauty in Indian Mythology. In Polynesian, her name means "kiss". Luke Wilson, a native Texan, attended the all-boys St. Mark's School of Dallas where he holds top five all time records in the 400m and 800m.

Okay, so I am in a mini Luke Wilson film fest here, it was unintentional, really. Luke Wilson plays a typical Luke Wilson straight man part and lets the rest of the cast get all the laughs, although he is really good at pained expressions. There is Rainn Wilson, the best friend, who is a womanizer with bad advice who can't seem to get any women. There is Anna Faris, as Hannah, Luke Wilson's uber hott co-worker (better looking then Uma, but that is just me). There is Eddie Izzard, yes, that is right, Eddie Izzard (he is a stand up comedian and a darned funny one), as the very low key former classmate of Uma Thurman, who just happened to grow up and become a supervillian. And then there is Uma Thurman herself. Thurman is hilarious as the artist turned superhero turned neurotic psychotic stalker. Things to watch for: Luke's Lexus in a spot where you need a telescope to see it, Luke being chased by a shark while on the 15th floor of a building, Oh, and the supercostumes. Oh my goodness gracious!
