Sunday Night Trivia: License Plates

Okay, this is a little game I like to call Daphne..I mean License Plates. The basic idea is that each plate represents a character in a movie, you will get the idea pretty quickly but first an example. This plate from California with the letters DMVMPRS belongs to who?

What I am looking for is 1) what does the plate say? 2) What movie does it represent? and 3) what character does it represent, so without further ado. Here is the answers 1) DM stands for Damn and VMPRS is Vampires so it says "Damn Vampires." This was from The Lost Boys (1987), a vampire movie set in California. and it was said by 3) Grandpa played by Barnard Hughes. So now it is your turn. (Little Hints: The state that issued the license MAY or MAY NOT be a clue; All are well known movies)

1.

2.
3.
4.
5.
6.

Oh yeah, by the way, one of the six doesn't fit with the others, tell me why.

I'm terrible at these. I think 4 says I'm Gladiator, but I don't know why it's on a saskatchewan plate because I think it's Russell Crowe.

I said May or May Not have anything to do with the plate, that one didn't have anything to do with the plate, some of the others may (or may not)

4. IMGLD8R = I - M - Gl - Dee - Ate - R "I am Gladiator" from Gladiator, It would be Russell Crowe's plate as he played Maximus.

1) Brewsters Millions?

2) Hate sinks, so Hope Floats is the film

3) IceBerg err Titanic?

4) I am a Gladiator - Gladiator - Russell Crowe

5) No Damn Govern or Giving? Don't Know?

6) Weapon or Weaponry 15? Don't know?

Hey these are rock hard Will, or am I looking to deeply?

Think 1 is the odd one out as it hasn't recieved an oscar, I am betting the others did.

1. is not Brewster's Millions, sound it out, especially the last part.

2. Not Hope Floats, though that made me chuckle. You are close, you have the first word right. The state is important in this one.

3. III BRG = I's (as in more then one I) or Ice - BRG "Ice Burg" from Titanic, I would have accepted Leo, or Kate, or even the guy who played the captain. Impman got this one.

4. IMGLD8R = I - M - Gl - Dee - Ate - R "I am Gladiator" from Gladiator, It would be Russell Crowe's plate as he played Maximus. Mick, Impman, and Amanda got this one.

5. Oh, Dave, you are soooo close, think one of the most famous movie quotes in history.

6. This is probably the biggest stretch, It is quoted liberally throughout the movie but references an American TV show that was majorly popular at the time. I will say that the numbers represent time in minutes.

5. N0DMGVN = N0 - DM - GVN or "No Damn Given" or in other words, "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn." From Gone With The Wind and of course, it would belong to Rhett Butler played by Clark Gable. Nice Job Amanda.

Still need 1, 2, and 6.

1. 1MIL BB = 1 - Mil - BB or "Million Dollar Baby" from Million Dollar Baby and it belongs to Maggie Fitzgerald played by Hillary Swank. Amanda strikes again.

2. H8SNKS = H - ate - SNKS or "Hate Snakes" from Raiders of the Lost Ark and it belongs to Indiana (just like the plate) Jones played by Harrison Ford, Indiana Jones hates snakes..get it? Nice call Dad.

5. N0DMGVN = N0 - DM - GVN or "No Damn Given" or in other words, "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn." From Gone With The Wind and of course, it would belong to Rhett Butler played by Clark Gable. Nice Job Amanda.

6. Just this one left and the odd man out.

Okay, I guess nobody could get my last one so here it is:

6. WPNRN15 = WP - NR - N - 15 or "Wapner in 15" or "15 minutes to Wapner" from Rain Man and it belongs to Rayman played by Dustin Hoffman

Which means the odd man out is Raiders Of The Lost Ark, which was nominated for best picture, but lost, the other five won best picture.
