Well,if you haven't figured out the link here it is. Each pair of actors played the same character, one in the movie and one on TV.
3. Donald Sutherland and 1. Alan Alda both played Hawkeye Pierce on MASH
9. Rod Steiger and 2. Carrol O'Connor both played Police Chief Bill Gillespie on In The Heat Of The Night
12. Walter Matthau and 4. Jack Klugman both played Oscar Madison on The Odd Couple
5. Kristy Swanson and 11. Sarah Michelle Gellar both played Buffy Summers on Buffy The Vampire Slayer
6. Kurt Russell and 8. Richard Dean Anderson both played Col. Jack O'Neill on Stargate
7. Melanie Griffith and 10. Sandra Bullock both played Tess McGill on Working Girl.
Impman got them all except the O'Connor/Steiger answer and Mick was able to answer all the movies/TV shows. Well Done.
