Trivia Tuesday: Now That's A Lot Of Awards

This person received more awards given out by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences then any other person.

He received 26 awards (14 Statuettes [2 Special Awards Statuettes], 8 Plaques, 2 Certificates of Honorable Mention, 1 Certificate of Merit [Special Award], and the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award).

Can you name him?

Yeah, me first, me first! Though I won't get it because it's going to be some old guy. Not that I'd get it if it were some young guy either. I just like knowing that I can comment on your trivia questions. (hehe). Anyways, here goes....

Jimmy Stewart
Clark Gabel

Jimmy Stewart has only two statuettes (one was Honorary)

Clark Gable one has one.

He is an old guy but you might recognize him, you never know.

Marlon Brando
Jack Nicholson

Brando only has two Oscars.

Nicholson has three.

Your on the wrong track. No actor/actress has more then 4 Oscars.

Good for Mick! Got it on the first try. Walt Disney was nominated 59 times and received 3 special awards [a certificate of merit for Fantasia, an Oscar for creating Mickey Mouse and a full size Oscar and seven mini-Oscars for Snow White].

So Kim, have you heard of him? Hee Hee

Hardy har har. Good trivia. I was telling myself no one has won that many oscars for just acting but I couldn't think of anyone else. You rock little brother and Mick, you rock for knowing it.
