A few tidbits about this movie:
The title of this movie is a metaphor for innocence and comes from a quote from the movie.
This coming of age movie was nominated for an Oscar for best picture but lost.
The American Film Institute named the main character, a kind and honest man, the Greatest Movie Hero of the 20th Century. It won the actor an Oscar.
In real life the two children in the movie lived in the same town in the South several blocks away from each other, but they had never met before the movie.
The character of Dill was modeled on the author's childhood friend, Truman Capote.
Demi Moore and Bruce Willis named their daughter after the young heroine in this movie.
1980s Rock band The Bangles wrote their hit single "Walk Like An Egyptian"after being inspired by a scene in the film where a young boy is trying to teach his little sister how to "walk like an Egyptian".
What is the metaphorical name of this movie? Who played AFI's greatest movie hero? What was the name of that character?
Bonus Questions: Who played the agoraphobic neighbor Arthur? What prestigious award did the author win for the book that this movie is based on? What is the quote that gives the movie its title? What is Demi Moore and Bruce Willis' daughter's name?

Well, gee whiz, I knew Dad would get it, but he got it pretty dang quick. The quote is from Atticus recalling what his father told him about guns.
Check out the audio clip of the answer to the bonus question.

I knew it was from To Kill a Mocking Bird. Great book and great movie. Way to go Dad!!
I'm sure Will knew that it was probably my favorite movie, if I have one.
This was Robert Duvall's first role as Arthur "Boo" Radley.
Did you also realize that the main protaganists (good guys) were named after innocent birds? Tom ROBINson and Atticus FINCH and his family.
Harper Lee won the 1961 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for this book.
Just a cool movie all around.
Don't forget the "Boo" birds :-)
Also, Harper Lee's mother's maiden name was Finch.
