What would think if I sang out of tune,
Would you stand up and walk out on me.
Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song,
And I'll try not to sing out of key.
Oh I get by with a little help from my friends,
He gets high with a little help from his friends,
Oh I'm gonna try with a little help from my friends.
Would you stand up and walk out on me.
Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song,
And I'll try not to sing out of key.
Oh I get by with a little help from my friends,
He gets high with a little help from his friends,
Oh I'm gonna try with a little help from my friends.
I always think it is funny walking into a grocery store just before a hurricane and seeing the feeding frenzy. The shelves are empty, the clerks are exhausted, people are worrying that they only have ten gallons of water and 15 cases of tuna. I understand the need to stock up on essentials, it's just funny. I mean, we have known Ike was a possible threat for a few days and now everyone is panicking? Same way with Gas Stations (some of which are 20 cents a gallon higher oday then they were yesterday). There are cars lined up waiting for gas that they could have gotten last night, or the night before, like I did. Well, it seems the human race does not have a monopoly on the feeding frenzy right before a hurricane.
It was true during Hurricane Rita, and it is true for Hurricane Ike. The Humming Birds are swarming around my Mom and Dad's porch. They are emptying several bottles a day of sugarwater as they are getting read to hunkerdown for the storm. So Mom and Dad are these Humming Bird's friends by leaving the feeders up until the last minute. Good Luck Guys, We're All Counting On You.
