Cloudy day this is my cloudy day
One for you and one for him one for her and one for them
This looks like a cloudy day for me
One for you and one for him one for her and one for them
This looks like a cloudy day for me
Well, it is a beautiful day in southeast Texas, that is if it wasn't cloudy. The temperature is warm, but not really hot. The Sun is out enough to cast a shadow through the clouds. The eye of Ike is about 10 hours away from reaching Galveston, which is already flooding due to the unprecedented storm surge (It could be the highest in modern history). But I am not bothered by that since Galveston is over 100 miles away. The feeder bands have yet to reach us and will probably not for a long time.
On a more serious note, it seems Ike has claimed his first American victim, and in a really tragic painfully stupid way. A 9 year old boy was killed when a tree limb that his father was cutting down in preparation for the storm fell on him. Becoming the victim of a hurricane is easy, don't be there, go inland. That family's house is not more important then that young man's life.
